Health Education Projects
Education Story box

Much of our health education projects have concentrated on the pre-school primary stage when attitudes are being formed and children are more receptive.

Our aim is to provide children with strategies that will help them to avoid becoming involved in self-destructive practices. To do this we devise programmes that focus on real issues, implemented at a sufficiently early age.

We concentrate our work on developing of the following skills:

  • Valuing self and others
  • Understanding, naming and acknowledging feelings
  • Having confidence in and expressing a point of view
  • Seeing ahead to the consequences of our own actions

It is our view that valuing self and others is crucial. People who genuinely value themselves are unlikely to consume harmful substances or engage in activities likely to put their health at risk. The other skills are all fundamental to a person's ability to resist peer group pressure.

Ross Bailey who is an education specialist has been the consultant on every project.

All research done has been documented and is available, as well as resource packs.

We have a highly specialised team to put together programmes dealing with issues relating to the pre-primary and primary age group. We use a combination of puppetry, mime and drama and have a wide range of workshop activities.
